SUNDAY SERMON ON THE BLOG – SOFT AND SPOILED.

I am not complaining about having too little. I have learned to be satisfied with whatever I have. I know what it is to be poor or to have plenty, and I have lived under all kinds of conditions. I know what it means to be full or to be hungry, to have too much or too little. Christ gives me the strength to face anything. - Philippians 4:11-13.

I am not complaining, but I have realised that I've grown soft and spoiled, because of all the conveniences that I have allowed into my life.

I ask myself the question, could I honour God with my praises, and thanksgivings, if these conveniences were to suddenly vanish? I pray to the Lord that I will.

I desire to be like Paul, and live with faith and confidence, to be satisfied in every way, so that I can face up to anything, with the help of the indwelling Christ.

What about you?

Loving Father, without you my strength would fade and my confidence would fail. Thankfully I will never have to worry about this because of your Holy Spirit, your grace, and your Son, will strengthen me, and help me withstand any situation. Thank you, in the wonderful Name of Jesus. Amen.

Be encouraged!
