DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT - FRIDAY - PRAYING FOR REVIVAL - Conclusion.

It is better to have God’s approval, than the world’s applause: there is a time shortly coming when a smile from God's face will be infinitely better than all the applause of men: how sweet will that word be, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant.’ (Matt. 25: 21)." - Thomas Watson.

O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy. - Hab 3:2. ESV

As we conclude our series on Praying For Revival, we discovered that if we want a revival then it has to be God that does it and not man! But we have to pray that He will give us a revival... if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chron 7:14.

Revival comes when we keep knocking at heaven’s door! If we want a revival then we have to pray for it! We have to understand that...

PRAYER AVAILS MUCH

Things Happen When We PRAY... Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. - James 5:16.

I want to tell you when we pray in Australia, God moves! When we pray here God moves in America, when we pray here God moves in Africa, when we pray here, God moves in Asia, when we pray here God moves in Europe, when we pray here, God moves all over the world and when we pray here, God moves here! Hallelujah!

Abraham Prayed Lot Out Of Sodom... Then the men said to Lot, "Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place. For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it." - Gen 19:12 -13.

I think about Abraham when I think of prayer. When the angels came and said we're going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot was in Sodom along with his wife and children, and Lot was Abraham’s nephew and he didn't want him destroyed with all of the rest of those people. When the angel said we're on our way to destroy Sodom, Abraham stood before the Lord and prayed.

That's what prayer is! Prayer is standing before our Holy and merciful God. There was a city that was about to be destroyed, but there was a family that Abraham wanted out of there beforehand. So, Abraham prayed Lot out of Sodom.

While Josh McDowell was attending seminary in California, his father went Home to be with the Lord. His mother had died years earlier, but Josh was not sure of her salvation. He became depressed, thinking that she might be lost. Was she a Christian or not? The thought obsessed him. "Lord," he prayed, "somehow give me the answer so I can get back to normal. I've just got to know." It seemed like an impossible request.

Two days later, Josh drove out to the ocean. He walked to the end of a pier to be alone. There sat an old woman in a lawnchair, fishing. "Where's your home originally?" she asked. "Michigan -- Union City," Josh replied. "Nobody's heard of it. I tell people it's a suburb of --" "Battle Creek," interrupted the woman.
"I had a cousin from there. Did you know the McDowell family?"

Stunned, Josh responded, "Yes, I'm Josh McDowell!" "I can't believe it," said the woman. "I'm a cousin to your mother." "Do you remember anything at all about my mother's spiritual life?" asked Josh. "Why sure -- your mom and I were just girls -- teenagers -- when a tent revival came to town. It was the fourth night -- we both went forward to accept Christ." "Praise God!" shouted Josh, startling the surrounding fishermen. -

There are drug addicts that are going to be destroyed all over the world. Is there someone that we want saved out of that group before hand? There are f homosexuals all over the world that are bound for hell according to God's Word. Is there a nephew or a son that we want saved out of that group before hand?

If all the sleeping folk will wake up,
If all the lukewarm folk will fire up,
If all the dishonest folk will confess up,
If all the disgruntled folk will cheer up,
If all the depressed folk will cheer up,
If all the estranged folk will make up,
If all the gossipers will shut up,
If all true soldiers will stand up,
If all the dry bones will shake up,
If all the people in this Church will pray up...
Then we can have a revival!

This old world is dying to go to hell! It's headed for destruction! Is there a man, woman, boy, or girl that we want saved out of this world before hand? They don't have to go if we will pray; we have to be serious about who we want saved!

Do we want people saved? Do we want to see our Churches set on fire? Do we want our communities saved? Do we want our Cities saved? Do we want our Country saved? Do we want a revival? Then we must shoulder our responsibility and PRAY FOR REVIVAL!

Loving Father, help me by the power of the Holy Spirit, to humble myself and pray for my land! Help me to turn from my wicked ways and to seek your face O’ Lord, for revival in my time! Do it for the precious souls that need to come to you! Do it for the broken families and homes! Do it for the alcoholic, for the drug addict, for the homosexuals, for the abused and battered children, for the Mums and Dads whose children have gone astray, and do it Lord for your glory! In Jesus name I pray!
