Is It Only About The Prize?
I was just about to go to bed after replying to my comments and I thought I would check out a few blogs, well, I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight, thanks Phil for a beautiful post...
It was just another chapel service, or so I thought and then making her appearance up front was Kathryn Kuhlman. I had never been to one of her meetings. I had seen her on television but not in person. Just the same, there she was, just like on TV, except in person. Kind of curious, I gave her my full and complete attention.
I don’t remember her topic for the day however I most clearly remember where she ended up going with her message. At some point in her message she began to speak to us about her relationship with the Lord Jesus. She spoke softly and yet clearly. As she spoke, I was, well I was caught up in what she was saying.
In all of my years in the church, to this point in my young life, I had never heard anyone speak so intimately about their relationship with the Lord Jesus.She went on describing this love affair that she was having with the Lord Jesus, its beginning, through the years and now in her life.
At one point, she seemed to no longer be speaking to or even aware of us students. She seemed to be totally focused upon the Lord Jesus. She began to actually speak to the Lord and as she did this, she turned and was facing toward the stage curtain with all of us on her right. Her gaze was slightly elevated and her face literally glowed.
I had never before or since seen such a thing. I asked, afterwards, several others to see if they had seen what I had seen and indeed they had. Continue reading...
