SEAN CONNERY... "Better than Bond."
A great accolade for a great actor, and a great Scotsman...SIR Sean Connery is to be awarded one of Hollywood's top accolades.
He will be given the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award in LA next June. 
Chairman Howard Stringer said the actor was "an artist of the highest order". He added: "His body of work illuminates a career more extraordinary than James Bond himself." Connery, 75, follows past winners including Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles.
