DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT MONDAY - THE PERFECT PSALM.

God is ready to assume full responsibility for the life wholly yielded to Him. - Andrew Murray.

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. - Psa 23:1-6.

There is no denying that Psalm 23 is my favourite Psalm. Many people associate it with death, but for me it is a prophecy for our daily walk with Jesus, and this is why...

PERFECT SALVATION: The Lord is our shepherd.
PERFECT SATISFACTION: We shall not want.
PERFECT REST: He makes us to lie down in green pastures.
PERFECT REFRESHMENT: He leads us beside still waters.
PERFECT RESTORATION: He restores our souls.
PERFECT GUIDANCE: He leads us in the paths of righteousness, for His name's sake..
PERFECT PROTECTION: We will fear no evil.
PERFECT COMPANY: He is with us.
PERFECT COMFORT: His rod and His staff, they comfort us.
PERFECT PROVISION: He prepares a table before us.
PERFECT CONSECRATION: He anoints our heads with oil.
PERFECT JOY: Our cup overflows.
PERFECT CARE: Goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives.
PERFECT DESTINY: We will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Jesus, who died for thy sins, is worthy to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. We can never ascribe too much to Jesus. But He is worthy also to be believed, in preference to Satan, unbelief, the world, or appearances; to be trusted with all, for all, before all; to be loved more than any other, in opposition to any that would rival Him;

To be followed, wherever He may lead us, through evil report or good report; to be preferred to ease, pleasure, wealth, health, to anything and everything. Jesus is worthy to be our example, our confidant, our king, and our all. He is worthy of all He requires, all we can give, all His people have done for Him or suffered in His cause. - James Smith.

AND HE DOES ALL OF THIS, BECAUSE HE LOVES US! WHAT BETTER ENCOURAGEMENT COULD WE ASK FOR?

Loving Father, I thank you that you are perfect, and that you provide the perfect framework for my life. Help me through the power of the Holy Spirit, to be encouraged daily, by your perfect plan for my life. Help me Lord to daily appreciate this, in Jesus wonderful name I pray, amen!
