DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT: FORCEFUL PEOPLE #5

I will place no value on anything I have or may possess except in relation to the kingdom of Christ.
-- David Livingstone
-----------------------------------------------------------
Matt 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

WE MUST HAVE DEVOTION IF WE ARE TO BE FORCEFUL PEOPLE
As we arrive at the conclusion of our series of FORCEFUL PEOPLE, we have come to understand that FORCEFULLY ADVANCING and laying hold of the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is going to necessitate Christians who are DISCIPLINED, DETERMINED and DARING!

And now we add the fourth principle to complete our training to be FORCEFUL PEOPLE …

DEVOTION: Is a great love, a great loyalty, an enthusiastic zeal; to be devoted to God’s challenge, to his call for FORCEFUL PEOPLE …
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. -- Acts 2:42-47

As the believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, communion and prayer, they were filled with awe and saw many miracles. They had unity and their giving stretched beyond their means. They worshipped and praised God with sincerity and with joy, enjoying the favour of all the people!

The result of all of this, the most important part of laying hold of the Kingdom of Heaven; SOULS! SOULS! SOULS! SOULS were being saved and added to the Church every day! Oh! That we would have this passion for souls! Oh! That we would see this in our lifetime!

Jesus needs DISCIPLINED, DETERMINED, DARING and DEVOTED Christians to FORCEFULLY ADVANCE and LAY HOLD of the KINGDOM of HEAVEN!

By the grace of God, I'll be that man. - - Dwight L. Moody

Loving Father, my desire is to be a forceful Christian who will be a disciplined, determined, daring and devoted follower of Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. Help me to lay hold of the kingdom of heaven by the power of the Holy Spirit in winning souls for Jesus. In Jesus mighty name I pray! Amen.
