DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT FRIDAY - MASTER BUILDERS.

The genius of the Methodist movement, which enabled it to conquer the raw lives of workingmen in industrial England, and the raw lives of men and women on the American frontier, was the "class meeting" -- ten members and their leader, meeting regularly for mutual encouragement, rebuke, nurture, and prayer. – John L. Casteel.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. - 1Thess 5:11.

Our awesome God, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Master builder… And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. - Mat 16:18.

And when we take on His nature we become His apprentices, learning His ways to build up one another. Encourage one another, and be assured that, in all times and situations, it shall be healthy with the righteous; let every Christian position this in their hearts; and with this thoughtfulness, reassure and edify each other in all tests and difficulties.

A Builder Or a Wrecker
As I watched them tear a building down
A gang of men in a busy town
With a ho-heave-ho, and a lusty yell
They swung a beam and the side wall fell

I asked the foreman, "Are these men skilled,

And the men you'd hire if you wanted to build?"
He gave a laugh and said, "No, indeed,
Just common labor is all I need."

"I can easily wreck in a day or two,

What builders have taken years to do."
And I thought to myself, as I went my way
Which of these roles have I tried to play?

Am I a builder who works with care,

Measuring life by rule and square?
Am I shaping my work to a well-made plan
Patiently doing the best I can?

Or am I a wrecker who walks to town

Content with the labor of tearing down?
"O Lord let my life and my labors be
That which will build for eternity!"
-Author Unknown.

We have the foundations on which to build concrete hope, when we remind ourselves, that salvation is by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, to atone for our sins and to ransom our souls. We should join in prayer and praise one with another. We should set a good example one before another, and this is the best means to answer the end of the world. Thus we shall learn how to live to Him, with whom we hope to live for ever. Hallelujah! What an awesome God we serve!

Loving Father, I thank you for the foundations in my life that Christ has given me, help me by the power of the Holy Spirit, to build into other lives, to encourage and edify them, that they may be imitators of you. In Jesus wonderful name I pray, amen!
