Buddha broth sells for $263 a bowl. A Chinese restaurant in London's exclusive Mayfair district has gained notoriety for selling soup that costs $263 a bowl.
The soup, called 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' contains shark's fin, abalone, Japanese mushrooms, sea cucumber, dried scallops, chicken, ham, pork, ginseng and a sprinkling of gold leaf.The restaurant says it sells about two bowls every month. No wonder Buddha jumps over the wall... at that price I would jump over the moon!
