DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT - WEDNESDAY: More Than Conquerors

"Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergymen or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon Earth." - - John Wesley
-----------------------------------------------------------
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. --Rom 8:37 (ESV)

Continuing our series on... More Than Conquerors, we realised that once we have been born again, said yes to the new life that Christ has given us and believing what God has said in His word. We now need to know how Jesus made us… MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

Jesus Has Qualified Us
By making sure of our salvation... he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. -- Heb 9:12.

Jesus entered the holy place by the fact that He sacrificed His life on the cross and by His shed blood, demonstrating that there was no more need for animal sacrifice, and that He was the ultimate sacrifice, securing for us the eternal entrance into the Father’s presence! Hallelujah! What a mighty God we serve!

Concluding his book, Born Again, Charles Colson writes: It was that night in the quiet of my room that I made the total surrender. "Lord, if this is what it is all about," I said, "then I thank You. I praise You for leaving me in prison, for letting them take away my license to practice law, yes -- even for my son being arrested. I praise You for giving me your love through these men, for being God, for just letting me walk with Jesus." With those words came the greatest joy of all -- the final release, turning it all over to God.

By making sure of our inheritance... I pray that you will be grateful to God for letting you have part in what he has promised his people in the kingdom of light. -- Col 1:12 (CEV).

We are grateful that God has allowed us to participate in His promises, which is accorded to all His Children, who have come out of the kingdom of darkness and into His marvelous light in the Kingdom Of God!

You may not be able to leave your children a great inheritance, but day by day, you may be weaving coats for them which they will wear for all eternity. -- Theodore L. Cuyler

Jesus keeps on qualifying us... For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever. -- Heb 7:28.

He is the perfect high priest, holy and unblemished by sin! And He intercedes for us daily as we walk in His light! None of us who come to the throne of God will ever be ashamed, we are guaranteed that Jesus will deliver us from all our trials and tribulations, and in our day of judgement we are free from penalty! Hallelujah! What a mighty God we have!

A.B. Simpson is reported to have said that the gospel "Tells rebellious men that God is reconciled, that justice is satisfied, that sin has been atoned for, that the judgment of the guilty may be revoked, the condemnation of the sinner cancelled, the curse of the Law blotted out, the gates of hell closed, the portals of heaven opened wide, the power of sin subdued, the guilty conscience healed, the broken heart comforted, the sorrow and misery of the Fall undone.”

Let us be thankful that Jesus has qualified us to be... MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

Loving Father, I thank you that I am born again to my new life in your only son, Jesus. I believe I am what you say I am, the righteousness of God in Christ and that He has qualified me to be your child and allowed me to claim my inheritance. By the power of your Holy Spirit, help me to put all these principles into action, so that I can be more than a conqueror! In Jesus wonderful name I pray! Amen!
