DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT: Faith Walks
Faith and obedience are bound up in the same bundle. He that obeys God, trusts God; and he that trusts God, obeys God. -- Charles Spurgeon

Heb 11:28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
FAITH WALKS IN OBEDIENCE
The writer of the Book of Hebrews speaks in wonderful terms of the faith of Moses. Moses was told to keep the Passover, to celebrate what had happened in Egypt;
Exod 12:23-25 When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the door-frame and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down. "Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants. When you enter the land that the LORD will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony. Moses was obedient to that command.
Jesus commands us to have Faith
Mark 11:22-23 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
This command by Jesus was designed to teach us the great lesson that no obstacle should be able to stand before a confiding faith in God. If we are obedient to the Lord and having that faith, there is no obstacle in our lives that cannot be moved.
Loving Father, I thank you for your word that tells me that by faith, I can walk in obedience to your commands. Help me Lord, to have your faith, so that the mountains in my life that are keeping me from being a productive child of God, can be overcome. In Jesus wonderful name I pray. Amen
